#VINOMUSIC: Thundercat & Brut Rosé

Music and Wine should be paired. We call this VINOMUSIC.

Oftentimes when we think of wine, we are physically transported to the evening time, in a dinner setting or late-night romp. How about those daytime hours? When you want something clean and fresh on the nose and palate, with an accompanying tune to set the mood? Just think, it’s a sunny afternoon and you are driving with the top-down through the hills of Southern California. You are listening to the sounds of Los Angeles native Thundercat, who is known for his airy yet soulful, funk productions. The song blasting through your sound system? ‘Them Changes’; a track with a prevalent funky bass and smooth synths.

You get to the beach and continue to play the song, finding a way to bust out your drink of choice while not attracting too much attention to yourself. Your beverage of choice? 2014 Rotari Brut Rosé. Comprised of 75% pinot noir (nero) and 25% Chardonnay grapes, this sparkling blend made in the Metodo Classico style contains hand-picked grapes from the hills of Trentino, Italy. Its color is a light blush pink, with floral, strawberry, currant, and grape stem notes. Its flavor is fresh, yet intense and bright, which pair perfectly with a funk-filled afternoon.
