A pound of smoked chicken wings, brisket and a 2009 Terra Savia Meritage Reserve; these are the items I took to my cousin’s house during my 9 hour delay for a missed flight today (weather). Perhaps I needed to see him, catch up on his life, catch him up to mine. As turbulent as flight logistics were, it was easy when it came to coordinating an impromptu day-trip in San Francisco. The only ‘stress’ of the day was my back and forth with United Airline Twitter customer service rep, and to ^EY I say “I know you can’t do anything about the weather, but you CAN do something about making a customer happy. For a 9 hour delay you couldn’t even give me a voucher for some water?” Whatever, I had a great ’09 Terra Savia Meritage Reserve; crafted using organic gapes blending Merlot followed by Cabernet and rounded out with Petite Verdot. It’s been an interesting start to the weekend.
